Master Carpenter & Craftsman Paul Harmon founded Harmon Builders in 1995, along with wife, Project Manager and Co-Owner Melani Harmon.

Dedicated to providing high quality construction and materials for custom-built homes, home remodeling services, and custom furniture and cabinetry, Harmon Builders combines modern-day craftsmanship and environmentally friendly building techniques. We use the finest materials at reasonable costs to meet the personalized needs of our clients.

Dedication to Craftsmanship and Green Practices

Harmon Builders is dedicated to traditional wood craftsmanship with a modern awareness of valuing precious resources.  We prioritize using local mills with indigenous woods such as oak, maple, hickory, cherry and walnut.  We use recycled materials whenever possible and work to educate clients in “green” resources.  We always try to source local and focus on materials cultivated in and around the Mid-Atlantic region.  In general, we strive to reduce our carbon footprint, optimize sustainability and support the local economy.

Paul has prior experience with LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Certified Construction practices, a Green Building Rating System™ that encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

Harmon Builders’ office and workshop is nestled in the woods of Keedysville, MD, connected to our family home on a hilltop in Western Maryland. We strive to bring our clients custom designs suited to their ideal surroundings and unique lifestyle needs, just as we have created a perfect space for our family and our business.
