Master Carpenter & Craftsman Paul Harmon founded Harmon Builders in 1995, joined later by long-time friend and now Foreman Jason Airing, and Project Manager and Co-Owner Melani Harmon. Dedicated to providing high quality construction and materials for custom-built homes, home remodeling services, and custom furniture and cabinetry, Harmon Builders combines modern-day craftsmanship and environmentally friendly building techniques. We use the finest materials at reasonable costs to meet the personalized needs of our clients.

We at Harmon Builders prioritize:

• using local mills with indigenous woods (oak, maple, hickory, cherry, walnut)
• using recycled materials whenever possible
• supporting local schools and community
• educating clients in ‘green’ resources
• supplying local materials cultivated in and around the Mid-Atlantic.

We strive to reduce our carbon footprint, optimize our sustainability, and support the local economy.

Paul Harmon, General Contractor and Owner holds a Maryland Home Improvement License (MHIC No. 66247), is an approved Maryland Home Builder (MHBR No. 4452), and has a builder and home improvement license in West Virginia (WV No. 053404).

Paul has prior experience with LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Certified Construction practices, a Green Building Rating System™ that encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

Harmon Builders’ office and workshop is nestled in the woods of Keedysville, MD, connected to our family home on a hilltop, where we live with our two sons, Jesse and Emerson, and our dogs.
